Frequently asked questions
- Which exams does it cover?
- Right now, maths: GCSE resit (grade 4 / foundation) and Functional Skills Level 2, mapped to the Pearson Edexcel specification. More boards and English are on the way.
- Is it really free to start?
- Yes. You can sign up with no card and use the diagnostic, daily practice, marking and readiness meter for free. Plus and the Exam Sprint unlock unlimited tutor practice and mocks.
- How does the AI tutor work?
- When you get a question wrong it names the likely misconception and asks a guiding question rather than dumping the answer. Crucially, the AI never decides whether you're right — a separate, tested engine does the marking, so it can't mark a correct answer wrong.
- Can I trust that it won't teach me the wrong thing?
- That's the single most important rule in how we've built it. Marking is deterministic, and every question is written against the real exam specification and checked by a person before it's published.
- Is my data safe?
- We collect the minimum needed to run your account and progress, store data in the UK/EU, and you can export or delete it. See our privacy page for detail.
- How old do I need to be?
- ResitReady is for learners aged 16 and over.
- Does it work on my phone?
- Yes — it's a mobile-first, installable web app designed for short bursts of practice between college, work and life.
- Is it accessible if I have dyslexia or use a screen reader?
- We build to WCAG 2.2 AA: high contrast, large tap targets, screen-reader-correct maths (not images of equations) and a dyslexia-friendly typography option.
- I'm a college — can we use it with our learners?
- We'd love to talk. We're proving pass-rate lift with individual learners first, then bringing that to providers. Get in touch via the contact page.
